DOUG PEDERSON AND MIKE SINGLETARY NAMED HEAD COACHES FOR 2026 POLYNESIAN BOWL

(August 18, 2025) - The Polynesian Bowl announced today that Doug Pederson and Mike Singletary have been selected as head coaches for the 2026 Polynesian Bowl. The Polynesian Bowl is an annual all-star game featuring 100 of the nation’s top ranked junior and senior high school football players to be broadcast live and in PRIMETIME on NFL Network on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 9:00 PM ET (4:00 PM HT).

Doug Pederson will serve as Head Coach for Team Makai (Hawaiian word for ocean). Pederson served as Head Coach of the Super Bowl LII Champion Philadelphia Eagles (2016-2020) and the Jacksonville Jaguars (2022-2024). He also played 13 seasons in the NFL, winning a Super Bowl ring with the Green Bay Packers.

“I am honored to be a head coach for the 2026 Polynesian Bowl,” said Doug Pederson. “It is an incredible chance to work with the next generation of NFL talent in such a beautiful place as Hawai’i.”

Mike Singletary will serve as the Head Coach for Team Mauka (Hawaiian word for mountain). Singletary played for the Chicago Bears (1981-1992) collecting 10 Pro Bowl selections, two Defensive Player of the Year Awards, the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award (1990) and is an inductee of the Pro Football Hall of Fame (1998). He also served as Head Coach for the San Francisco 49ers (2009-2010) and other coaching roles the Baltimore Ravens, Minnesota Vikings, and Los Angeles Rams.

“The Polynesian Bowl is a celebration of a beautiful culture and the game we all love,” said Mike Singletary. "I look forward to coaching the top high school players in the nation.”

About the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame 

The Polynesian Football Hall of Fame honors Polynesia’s greatest players, coaches, and contributors.
